Education and Training

The Challenge:

A major clothing retailer needed to educate its national sales force about the upcoming trends in fashion. With more than 150 stores in 27 states across the nation, they needed a solution that could be easily distributed throughout the entire company, would reflect the company brand and be easy to understand. Distribution needed to be cost effective and easy to share among hundreds of employees at each location.

In addition, the clients also needed to make a presentation to their executive team during a live meeting. The objective of the presentation was to share with the executive team the same information that was being distributed to the field.

The Solution:

Moore Presentations created an electronic catalog or “Fashion Book” using Adobe
inDesign software.

Working with the fashion staff, we selected appropriate colors and designed page templates to reflect the company’s brand, while ensuring that content was readable and relevant. Fashion shots were selected that lent themselves to the established design. Copy was edited to be concise, informative and fit properly in the layout.

The Fashion Book was distributed to the field as an Adobe Acrobat file, saving on the costs of printing, binding and shipping thousands of copies. Managers were instructed to take the file to local copy shops, where they could print an appropriate number of copies for their location.

To help the client with their executive presentation, the Fashion Book was transformed into a PowerPoint presentation that mimicked the feel and format of the catalog.

The Result:

The final product was an eye-catching, functional tool for the sale force. The client was pleased with the look and functionality of the book, as well as the cost-effective method of distribution.

The on-screen presentation reflected the look and feel of the catalog and was well received by the executive team. It gave the fashion staff the tool they needed to inform the executives what was being sent to the field.
